Savory Tahini Dressing
I’m a creamy salad dressing kinda girl. I always prefer something like ranch to oil and vinegar. But, I never buy creamy dressings unless it’s something new I need to try out or a serious spur of the moment craving.
Usually, I end up making a super fast version of a tahini dressing. My favorite is my maple tahini (which I will post another time) but this one was a savory version.
I wanted to use up the last of some veggie stock I had which turned out to be the perfect ingredient. So, if you’re looking for a really fast and delicious, smokey and creamy dressing, try this recipe!
Ingredients
1 T tahini
1/4 C boiling water
1/2 C veggie stock
1/2 C nutritional yeast
1 t distilled vinegar
1/2 t smoke flavor
1 t salt, or to taste
1 t pepper
1 t garlic powder
1 t onion powder
Directions
Add the tahini and boiling water to a mason jar and let sit for a moment. Since the tahini is sometimes a little bit hard, this softens it up.
Add the rest of the ingredients and cover the jar with a lid.
Shake until everything is completely mixed.
You can adjust the water if it’s too thick or the nutritional yeast if it’s not thick enough.
Store in the fridge for a few days.
Enjoy!
